The Setting

Our State of the art Kitchen facility features a 1200+ square foot commercial kitchen, fully equipped with all the latest bells and whistles needed to crank out spectacular meals, both large and small.  The adjacent open and light filled 1200+ square foot dining room is inviting and relaxing with floor to ceiling windows looking out onto a green and woody Hill Country nature scene.   These windows are equipped with electric black out shades for audio-visual presentations during day light hours.  One large side wall is neutral and blank, perfect for projecting slides or videos or conducting a meeting using white boards or Post It Easel Papers.

The Barn

Our outdoor Barn is adjacent to the Kitchen, accessible by a 70′ covered walkway. Slide the 8 barn doors open for a breezy open feeling. Close them for a quiet, intimate experience. Cafe lights lend a warm, romantic feel. Seats 100 in about 1800 square fee.

Linens and Serviceware

Twig Green, Ivory and Grey Linens are available for use on our round tables.

Ivory, White and Grey Linens for 6′ rectangles

Overlays: Assorted styles

Our plates are an eclectic mix of patterns. Our flatware is silver. Wine and beverage glasses are simple, plain glass.

Service Layouts

We offer Buffet Service, Table Service and Family Style Service in our Dining Room.

For Sit Down Dinner Service with no Buffet or Musicians, our Dining Room can seat approximately 80. For Buffet Service we can seat approximately 75. “The Barn”, outdoor covered venue can seat 100.

For Classes, room is set up with stainless steel work stations.

For Meetings the room can be laid out to meet your needs for speeches, break out sessions or seminars.

Cooking Classes

We can accommodate up to 30 hands on cooks and 30 additional spectators.  Average class sizes are 12-20. Students and Spectators will dine together at the end of class and receive printed handouts of recipes prepared.

Onion Creek Kitchens Meeting Room Rates

If your group is using our facility for a class or dining event, meeting rooms fees will be either waived or discounted, depending on the needs of the event.  If you are not using our food services (you are dining elsewhere), room rates vary from $125. per hour to $325. per hour, depending on the needs of your group.  A four-hour minimum required. You are not required to dine with us to use the facility, however you may not bring food in unless with special pre-arranged permission

Minimum Service Fee

Service fee is dependent on details of event. It includes use of our service ware including silverware, plates, glasses, tables, chairs and linens. If others are required, rental rates will apply.  Staffing for set up, clean up and service during event are included. This is based on a 4-hour time span. More time and staff may be necessary for your event, depending on guest count and other needs. Additional Time and or Personnel can be reserved. Table service may add more personnel to your Service Fee, depending on your menu and your guest count. Buffet service usually can be handled with the basic starting Minimum Service Fee.


As we do not have a liquor license, you may bring in your own. We can provide glassware and service at a fee to be negotiated per event. As an example, the charge may run $4. Per bottle of wine/champagne that is opened and/or $6. per case of beer. Should a TABC Bartender be required, one can be arranged for $25. per hour, minimum 4 hours. We can set up a self-serve bar if desired.


Basic ice for general usage is included. If additional ice for event, such as stock tanks is needed, additional fees may apply.

Food Costs

You are required to use our Food Service for your meals and minimum expenditures must be met. These levels are determined for each event, depending on your overall needs. Sample Menus are available upon request. We can serve Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Snacks/Tapas.

___3 weeks (21 days) in advance – YOU MAY NOT LOWER GUEST COUNT

___1 week (7 days) in advance – YOU MAY INCREASE YOUR GUEST COUNT


Cancellation Policy for When Booking Special Event or Private Class

Special Events and Private Classes require a 30-day cancellation notice.


____30 days or more: full refund, less $100.00 fee

____29 -14 days: 25% will be retained

____13 days or less: no refund can be issued. If we can rebook another event we will hold a credit of full value towards another event at another time.   All refunds will be made by check.
